Parents often begin to ask me questions like these:
How do I get my baby ......?
Be polite ... Consideration ... be generous ... Share ... etc.
Regardless of what fills the empty part of my answer is always the same:
... You do not have all that you get the baby!
Instead, you can show he or she lives life as an example and to encourage and recognize and respond positively to this by every move he or she shows inin the desired direction. I noticed as she looked at you in the eyes of Aunt Sally like you answered your question. Most people appreciate that!
In addition to modeling the desired behavior, I suggest you fake role scenarios with dolls or puppets. Children are very quick to pick up the social norms, if you do not feel as if they lectured or judged. Puppets are great to overcome any defensive reactions.
Telling stories of fictional animalsCharacter lesson you want your child is absorbing also very effective.
Finally, make sure that the treatment of your child, how do you treat him or her to others. As the timeless poetry reminds us ... Children learn what they live!
