Barbie for boys - why not?

I still remember my childhood love. Years played with dolls and assorted accessories. The creation of imaginary worlds of glamor and adventure. My dolls have been an outlet, like most young girls the opportunity to ceiling, lining the field with the proverbial social security. A 12 "piece perfectly proportioned blonde perfection. Gaggles flock of girls with their representations of themselves in tow. These dolls, provided that theOpportunity to socialize and play in a group.

I never gave much attention to the boy. Until I asked a guy the other day for a doll. I always thought the boys went with trucks and action figures, etc. As a progressive thinker that I am, and as educators Expressed know that all children play with dolls as a means of dramatic, I said "yes." My husband reluctantly accepted his request but only if the talk about "Last ActionFIG.

Armed with his consent, I searched the Internet for "dolls for boys." To my disappointment, there was virtually no discussion of dolls and objects of fear most of the game first doll as a signal for homosexuality. I tried a number of different phrases as "action figures", "doll" Ken, and sports heroes. I also tried "articulate puppets" in the hope that damned computer to realize that I wanted a Barbie doll but one, the male was. My researchled me to sell, cinema icons, figures and costs much more than $ 50.

What happened to the dolls of yesterday? They were a couple of dollars and had children by the dozen. Instead of coming away with a toy, I discovered a new anti-male bias. This is of course ironic, as I am a feminist and applauded the line of Barbie dolls, that "all" and "do nothing" allowed. However, in our effort to demonstrate our strong girls' and beauty, and their large amount ofTrust, we canceled our male counterparts? This is "the result of selection of dolls scattered boy." Representation ranges from feminized male "Boy Toy" Ken has become a physical steroids.

Full of sexual connotations dress Ken, his lack of jobs. Ken doll now has little more than a surfboard and thongs. He drives a pink and joke, not a line of dolls named "Hottie" Ken. I need to saymore? How ironic that we are feminists, who were protesting the realistic representation of the figure of Barbie is our male counterparts as effeminate idler, only perceived efforts to fashion and the beach. A nephew of 15 years, told me casually that Ken is one of Barbie accessories. How to recognize the intelligent teenager who, for all appearances, Ken was the same consideration as a Barbie shoes or handbags.

For the other extreme arethe grotesque muscle "action figures" that are more like characters and are similar to aliens or monsters. They are icons of film heroes or Rescue Heroes, etc. .. and not one less look like any man I know. This does not mean that thousands of boys playing in their fight against evil and joy Mock vs. good drama. But my son is only 4 and do not concern representations on the screen. He nods in recognition at the mention of Batman and the like, but is not interested in this typegame ... not yet.

Where are the toys at once? I remember clearly, cowboys on horseback brown (not shining purple My Little Pony), Indians, astronauts and The Lone Ranger. Why can not you come with a basketball or a briefcase Ken, Go Go rock climbing or cycling. Being a construction worker, a stockbroker, or a cook or drive, which is not pink?

Briefly, we have been the other way, we went to forget the male point of view?

If they are in error, please find mewebsite, or shop that I do a physical male / accounting and behaves like a normal guy, so buying for my baby dolls. Meanwhile, I'm still looking ....
